OneOffice.com is proud to announce the launch of a new initiative
which will provide virtual residential addresses to London's
homeless. The scheme will allow for use of a residential address and
London telephone number for FREE!
One of the main problems the homeless face in the struggle to
reclaim their lives is lack of physical address for necessities such
as job applications and obtaining identification. They often cannot
or do not wish to give out there hostel addresses, if they are lucky
enough to have one, out of fear they will be denied. OneOffice CEO,
Ravi Gehlot, experienced homelessness firsthand on BBC3's 'Filthy,
Rich and Homeless'. It was after his homeless companion on the show
was refused a library card that the idea for the initiative was
born.
The idea is simple. Any individual who is homeless can use the
address to either collect their mail or arrange for it be forwarded
to their hostel. They can also be given a London 0207 telephone
number to include on applications. Calls can be diverted to a mobile
or they can have the message taken and sent to them via email.
The team at OneOffice is very excited about the program which
they feel will be an invaluable resource to so many individuals in
need. We also hope that this service may provide inspiration for
some to set up their own business. |
